Appearances, auctions, and launches keeping Lofton busy
January 28, 2010
Justin Lofton is cramming what is left of the off-season with appearances, interviews, and side projects. Last Friday Lofton attended Race Night prior to the Charlotte Checkers hockey game. There, he signed autographs and met with race fans.
Over the weekend, he enjoyed some down time by taking in a Charlotte Bobcats basketball game before getting back to the grind on Monday.
Kicking off the week with business as usual, he and his Red Horse Racing team tweaked on final Daytona preparations, readying the truck for its first practice run, which is less than two weeks away.
On Tuesday, Lofton, who is part of the brain trust behind Weekend Warriors TV, helped launch the fifth episode. Focused on off-road racing, the episode delves behind the scenes of the intense action that bred Lofton as the racer that he is today. To view the episode and to catch up on missed episodes, including Lofton’s recent test session at New Smyrna Speedway, check out http://www.WeekendWarriorsTV.com.
Also in the works for Lofton this past week was the launch of an online charity auction found at: http://cgi.ebay.com/Bodyn-Bobsled-JUSTIN-LOFTON-custom-ARCA-champ-die-cast_W0QQitemZ220544902857QQcmdZViewItemQQptZL. The auction consists of an autographed 1:24 replica die cast of Lofton’s ARCA Racing Series championship-winning car from 2009. All proceeds of the auction will go towards the U.S. Olympic bobsled team.
Closing out the week, Lofton will appear on Burning Rubber Radio to preview his rookie run in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. You can listen to the interview at 8 P.M. Eastern time on Thursday evening.
